Finalized Storyboard

So here's my finalized storyboard. Some junk seemed to have carried over from the artboard when I converted to .jpg, but the whole thing is there.

Three Storyboard Spread

Here are my three storyboards. I'm glad we did this exercise with distinctly different approaches. I was pretty set in my original aesthetic, but now I may take a new route completely.

Pages and pages and pages of notes!

So I've got here my notes for the Flash video in my lovely chicken scratch.

And I also made a .jpg of what I would like the video to kind of look like:

So I have several kinks to work out, but I'm happy with the path I'm on.

Stop Motion Reflection

Well the stop motion project was much more time-consuming, but ultimately more rewarding than I expected.

I do wish I did a couple of things differently though. One would be to implement more consistency while taking pictures. In some scenes I was too meticulous, taking 30 pictures for two steps, while others didn't shoot quite enough frames at all. This resulted in choppy speed. I had to pull a lot of frames out for the movie to flow smoothly. I also wish I edited down more. I feel like some scenes, particularly the jail scene, was too long. There were a couple lighting issues I could have re-shot with more time, but I should have planned for that. I guess the last thing I wish I did was to plan my transitions more thoroughly during the storyboarding process. It could have resulted in much more creative work.

Overall, I had a ton of fun though.

Project 2 Presentation

Finally! Without further ado, I present my stop motion:

Storyboard Update

I've decided I'm gonna stick to my apartment break-in story:

I didn't add to much to the storyboard itself, just a couple of frames with a growing pile of cans in between shots of me collecting them.

For the type presenting the present and future, I'm either going to use a whiteboard like the tutorial we saw or animate digital type, I haven't decided yet.

I found the perfect spot for the prison scene! The Abbott basement.

And also. I design the Omegatron poster:

And my mugshot:

Storyboards

So here are my storyboard in preparation for the second project, please excuse my poor sketching skills and talking about myself in the third person.

This story is about a chicken wing contest.

This board tells a story of me purchasing a TV, only to have it stolen as I end up in prison.

This is the last one where I learn to play guitar. Probably the lamest, but has some cool animation effects.

The music playing parts might go something like this:
